ABOUT US

Kashvie means shining – like a star. The project is dear to my heart as it is my passion. The whole idea behind this project is to help others dress well, be confident of themselves and remain joyful.

From offering creative solutions to your wardrobe we progressed to offering solutions for the space around you. Thus, developed our Concept Store – Kashvie – offering creative solutions to your wardrobe and home interiors.

It all started in my early teens. My mother’s keen sense of design and my father’s critical eye helped me in turning out to be the best dressed in my peer group.

Back then we could have a tailor spend the day in our verandah and we could design and instruct and get clothes stitched according to our liking. I remember how my outfits would be the envy of many and how I would be elated when the centre spread of Femina, at times, would carry an outfit made of the same print and fabric of Tata Textiles as mine! The centre spread of the women’s magazine showcased the latest in fashion – in Bombay – and growing up in faraway Jamshedpur – it was a link to the outside world.

The emphasis on needlework, sewing and crafts were never enough in school and at home while growing up. My dream to study Textiles and Clothing from Delhi University and pursue work in the same field has culminated into Kashvie.

We pride ourselves in knowing our customer’s needs and ideas well and emphasize on the importance of quality and finishing of a garment. Along with this we sell fabrics and sarees, all personally curated with a keen eye. All fabric yardage / sarees / accessories / home goods / stationery items that we sell from our store in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, is thoughtfully hand-picked by us.

India is teeming with skilled artisans and when we reached a stage where we could showcase and sell their wares, we immediately got down to identifying items that would add value to the lives of our patrons as well as encourage the skilled men and women. We like to encourage women to sell from our store if they are not able to set up a shop on their own.

After successfully running our studio and store in the brick and mortar structure, we have taken the plunge into the wider realm of the internet. We hope that you will find this step useful and give us opportunities to serve you regularly. Your feedback is always welcome as it will help us to know you better and improve our services.

All this could not have been possible without the unflinching support of my family and friends. Thank you, all.
